A sea of people cutting across States, religions, castes, regions and languages came together united to send a loud and clear message to the BJP governments at the Centre and State. The Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat got unprecedented support from all sections of society. Lakhs of farmers had to wait and listen to the speeches from outside the ground, where a public address system had been set up for several kilometers.

Protests intensifying against leaders of BJP and allied parties in different states

In Nangal village yesterday, a special meeting was called by the villagers wherein they announced that no anti-farmer meeting will be allowed on September 5th in the village. This was done after news reports indicated that a meeting would be organised on 5th September, to counter the farmers protesting at Singhu Border. Nangal village panchayat however took a clear decision and resolved not to allow any such meeting to take place.
